Patina Patina PatinaMiller played the role of lead actor in Stephen Schwartz's celebrated 1972 musical "Pippin" in Broadway. "Pippin" was created by Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus directed "Pippin", which also was starring Matthew James Thomas and Andrea Martin. Terrence Mann and Matthew James Thomas were the Other stars. Patina successfully put a contemporary turn to a character created by the award-winning actor Ben Vereen and mastered the Fosse moves that the production depends so heavily upon. Patina has been nominated for a Tony Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award and also a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award. She also won a Drama League Award as Best actress for a Leading Role as well as an Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Actress for a musical. From December 2012 to the beginning of January 2013 she was the lead role in American Repertory Theatre's production of Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
